Caucus Director, Delaware Senate Democratic Campaign Committee

The Delaware Senate Democratic Campaign Committee is hiring a Caucus Director. This is a senior level position, reporting directly to Delaware Senate Democratic leadership and Delaware Democratic Party, and will oversee all aspects of the 2018 campaign. A strong candidate will have the soft skills to complement his/her technical know-how, including a collaborative approach to problem solving, a strategic mind, and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse group of stakeholders including volunteers.

 

Caucus Director Job Responsibilities:

·         Oversees all operations for 2018 Delaware Senate Democratic campaign, in collaboration with the Delaware Democratic Party and with support from the Party’s coordinated campaign.

·         Reports directly to Delaware Senate Democratic Leadership and Delaware Democratic Party.

·         Prepares and executes campaign fundraising plan in consultation with leadership team.

·         Helps the State Party deploy and train both paid and volunteer staff.

·         Is the Caucus’s point person for candidate recruitment and serves as primary point of contact for all candidates and the State Party.

·         Provides the highest-level of service for candidates including regular communications and trainings.

·         Designs and implements an excellent field campaign, including individualized field plans for each candidate.

·         Ensures Caucus field campaign dovetails with Coordinated Campaign plan.

·         Oversees any Caucus-specific campaign budget and manages expenditures.

·         Ensures 100% compliance with all Delaware election laws, including timely campaign finance reporting (in conjunction with State Party).

·         Provides regular updates to Delaware Senate Democratic Leadership Team and State Party leadership.

·         Works collaboratively with consultants and vendors on strategy.

·         Builds and leverages key relationships with national allies.

·         Manages internal communications including meetings, conference calls, and general updates with members and staff involved with campaign effort.

·         Oversees recount process if necessary.

 

Required Skills and Experiences:

·         2+ years of campaign experience, 1+ years in a leadership position.

·         Strong leader able to inspire and motivate candidates and staff.

·         Collaborative approach to problem solving.

·         Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.

·         Proficient with Office Suite and NGP-VAN.
