Comms Coordinator for Brooklyn Borough President Candidate

Do you want to help build a stronger Brooklyn? One where every voice is heard and everyone has a seat at the table? A prominent candidate for Brooklyn Borough President is rounding out the campaign team and seeks a comms coordinator to anchor social media and assist with PR. 

The comms coordinator will work closely with the candidate and campaign team to create content that cuts through the noise. You’ll identify storylines that appeal to all corners of Brooklyn and amplify the message by teaming up with volunteers. The job requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, persistence, enthusiasm, great communication skills, and a passion for collaboration.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Managing the campaign’s social media accounts

  • Managing the campaign’s newsletter

  • Assisting with press outreach and responses 

  • Coordinating comms with volunteers to amplify the campaign’s message

  • Promoting campaign opportunities and events

  • Data entry and management

Qualifications:

  • A sense of humor

  • Experience creating and managing content for candidates, organizations or brands

Further details:

  • This position starts on Feb 22 and ends on June 30

  • Pay is $3,750 per month
