Deputy Data & Technology Director - Michigan Democratic Party

The Michigan Democratic Party is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Deputy Data and Technology Director to enhance our backend and technical capabilities. The new team member will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure and processes to support data work across multiple teams at the MDP. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver who is interested in becoming an expert in a large variety of data and technology systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct data and technology support to internal teams
- Manage data and information systems across a variety of platforms
- Develop and run ad hoc analysis for party operations
- Write technical documentation for internal processes
- Build new data and technology infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- Excel and google sheets wizard including fluency with pivot tables and vlookup
- Strong SQL skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience explaining technical processes to people from a variety of different professional backgrounds
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Willingness to tinker, experiment, and learn new systems
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Python or R
- G Suite Administration
- Experience in IT administration
