Position Summary

The Compliance Manager provides support for the Operations Department, including preparing and submitting federal, non-federal, IRS campaign finance reports, processing contributions and disbursements in NGP and QuickBooks, tracking and maintaining records, and operational duties as assigned.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and enter/import contribution data into NGP and QuickBooks daily.
• Check contributions for source restriction, limits and designation, and other compliance issues.
• Prepare and track compliance letters as needed.
• Deposit incoming contribution checks.
• Prepare various spreadsheets and reports regarding expenditures and contributions.
• Enter disbursements into NGP.
• Track operating expenses and political contributions, including limits and designation issues, in accounting software and databases.
• Track in-kind and other expenses for reporting purposes.
• Monitor and update reporting calendars as needed.
• Prepare IRS, state, and federal campaign finance reports for review and file to comply with various filing schedules.
• Prepare Independent Expenditure reports for review.
• Set up various bank accounts and merchant gateways as needed.
• Assist with various accounting tasks in QuickBooks online.
• Assist with other Human Resources and operational duties as assigned.

 Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least one cycle of campaign compliance experience.
• Fluency in NGP, QuickBooks online, standard MS Office applications,
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and work efficiently with the operation team and other Departments.
• This position requires a bachelor’s degree.

To be considered for the Senior Compliance role, candidates must have more than one cycle of compliance experience or non-federal compliance experience.
