OFFICE OF THE CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER
Director, Out of School Time (Starting Salary: $100,020)
The Director of Out of School Time is responsible for planning,
implementing, managing, and improving the
District’s Summer School, Afterschool, Saturday Scholars, and High
School Credit Recovery programs.
Manager, Academic Planning and Policy, Office of Secondary
Transformation (Starting Salary: $76,152)
The Manager, Academic Policy and Planning is responsible for (1) the
analysis and development of strategies and
policies governing secondary schools that help advance the district’s
reform agenda, (2) the management and
strengthening of the district’s academic course offerings, and (3) a
varied portfolio of special projects related to
district-wide programming.
Specialist, Career and Technical Education (CTE), Office of Secondary
Transformation (Starting Salary: $67,333)
The Specialist, CTE serves as the direct line of contact between the
Office of Career Readiness and the local DCPS schools that implement
CTE programs in compliance with the Carl D. Perkins Career and
Technical Education Improvement Act.
Data Specialist, Office of School Innovation (Starting Salary:
$67,333)
The Data Specialist will be responsible for managing data and
evaluating outcomes for the Office of School
Innovation. The Data Specialist will also provide a wide range of
analytic and strategic planning support for each of
the Office’s seven strands.
Manager, Carol M. White Physical Education Program, Office of Youth
Engagement (Starting Salary: $76,152)
The Project Manager provides high-level project management, direction,
staff development, support and guidance
for the Carol White Physical Education Program (PEP) Grant to ensure a
wide range of learning opportunities
through physical activity and nutrition education. The PEP grant
program is a district wide initiative to increase
student achievement, fitness and physical activity through nutrition
education and physical education programs.
Budget Analyst (Starting Salary: $56,980)
The Budget Analyst performs a wide variety of program planning and
development as well as data collection and
analysis activities including budget formulation and justification
providing fiscal support to all programs in the
Office of the CAO.
Director, Head Start Program Operations (Starting Salary: $89,226)
The Director of Head Start Program Operations is responsible for
directing all aspects of the day-to-day operations
for the DCPS Head Start program, including implementing high quality
program services and effective management
systems.
Director, Head Start Fiscal Operations (Starting Salary: $89, 226)
The Director is responsible for managing the accounting, financial,
and information technology operations to
ensure the Head Start program’s systems comply with local, state, and
federal government policies and
regulations.
Manager, Head Start Education Services (Starting Salary: $76,152)
The Manager supports the Director, Head Start Program Operations, to
manage the programmatic aspects of Head Start at DCPS.
Grants Developer, Team Lead, Office of Federal Programs (Starting
Salary: $67,333)
The Grants Developer’s primary responsibility will be to initiate and
strategically design and implement grant development systems and
establish procedures for writing grant proposals.
Grant Writer, Office of Federal Programs (Starting Salary: $47,929)
The Grants Writer’s primary responsibility will be to perform in-depth
research into grant-making organizations
and write grant applications according to organizational guidelines.
Database Administrator, Office of Federal Program and Grants (Starting

The Database Administrator is responsible for detailed technical
design and development of existing and emerging
technological platforms as well as database management.
Professional Development Specialist - Elementary (Starting Salary:

The Professional Development Specialist will assist schools with the

The technology director is responsible for implementing technology
strategy and managing the use and
deployment of technology throughout DCPS.

The Assessment and Accountability Coordinator will support the Office
of Data and Accountability by performing a

activities. This role will ultimately report to
the Deputy of Accountability and Assessment.
Information Systems Help Desk Coordinator (Starting Salary: $47,929)
This role is responsible for providing telephone support to end-user
community for Student Information System
questions, and use.
Crystal Report Writer, Office of Data and Accountability (Starting

The Crystal Report Writer/Database Report Writer Analyst will analyze

DCPS web properties. This role is also
responsible for assisting the Director in creating and driving the
vision for all web-related initiatives, including
social media, online communities, email newsletters and SMS-
capabilities.

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for and investigating
internal stories at schools and across the
DCPS organization; creating and managing multimedia content; creating

As a Project Assistant, the incumbent performs administrative support
functions for the Office of the Chancellor,

Director of Human Resources (Starting Salary: $110,000)
DCPS is seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial and experienced leader
to serve as its Director of Human Resources. The Director will be
responsible for leading an aggressive change management process and
overseeing a significant departmental turnaround and reorganization
effort. The Director manages 5 division directors and reports directly
to the deputy chancellor.

The Director of the Master Educator Program will be responsible for
