BrownMiller Group is a direct contact firm whose goal is to win campaigns by engaging people in politics and empowering them with the tools they need to change their community one person at a time. BrownMiller Group is hiring Paid Canvass Organizers for a Democratic campaign through early November 2016 elections.

Organizers will work with and direct paid canvassers, leading groups in the field to talk with community members, articulate a message and collect data. Paid Canvass Organizers must be able to manage others and have strong problem solving skills. Paid Canvass Organizer is a full time salaried position through Election Day. Organizers must commit to work 5.5 days per week including evenings and weekends.

Qualities and Abilities Required

• Paid Canvass Organizers must have prior canvassing experience
  Paid Canvass Organizers must have excellent communication skills

• Paid Canvass Organizers must be skilled at engaging community members in conversation

• Paid Canvass Organizers must be able to lead a team and be flexible and adaptive to changing conditions

• Paid Canvass Organizers must be able to operate data collection systems

• Paid Canvass Organizers must have a reliable car they can use every day.

Responsibilities

• Be able to lead and manage groups of canvassers

• Effectively communicate the message/issue one-on-one to community members

• Understand and articulate the broader concepts related to the message/issue

• Completely and accurately record data manually and electronically
