Finance Director in DC Suburbs Congressional Race

FINANCE DIRECTOR: 

A competitive Congressional campaign in the DC Suburbs is searching for a Finance Director. This position principle responsibility is working with existing donors and recruiting new supporters. Ideal candidate will have at least 2 cycles of fundraising experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the campaign team to craft and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan

• Conduct and review research on prospective donors and develop and recommend strategies

• Prep, staff, and complete follow-up procedures for the candidates’s call time

• Arrange and attend meetings with donors and prospective donors

• Identify and evaluate new donors, while strengthening relationships with current donors

• Maintain and supervise maintenance of donor records in finance database for fundraising  and compliance purposes

• Provide training/information to volunteers and interns as required

• Solicit donations in-person, by phone, and in writing

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Driven to succeed and hit fundraising goals

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Event management experience strongly preferred

• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

• Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel; NGP experience required

• Access to a car and laptop and willingness to travel around the district
