Field Organizer Job Description for Lisa Flores for Denver Public Schools Campaign in Denver, Colorado
Candidate in DPS school board race is hiring Field Organizers.
Field Organizers will be the face of the campaign.
Qualified candidates will:
Oversee the execution of the grassroots organizing and voter contact programs on campus and college neighborhoods;
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers;
Build and maintain strategic and tactical relationships with key allies and stakeholders;
Meet and exceed goals for campaign performance to guarantee the campaign succeeds at persuading and turning out voters;
Ensure reporting protocols are followed to provide up-to-date, actionable data and information to campaign leadership;
Other duties as assigned.
Ideal and preferred candidates will:
Have political or campaign experience
Have a working understanding of VAN including pulling lists, cutting turf, and entering data
Have experience managing paid canvassers, interns, and volunteers
Have a computer and a smart phone
Field Organizers will be responsible for canvassing, phone banking, tracking data, recruiting and managing volunteers, and other tasks. While this position will focus heavily on direct voter contact, Field Organizers will likely be called on to participate in all aspects of the campaign including finance, communications, and “new media.”
Training:
Field Organizers will receive extensive training and support from the Campaign Manager.
Expectations
Potential campaign staff will be expected to work up to 80 hours per week through the November election.
Salary/Benefits:
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
