DESCRIPTION

Democratic candidate for Congress is seeking experienced Field Organizers to work on an exciting progressive campaign. Field Organizers will manage voter persuasion and mobilization and should have strong interpersonal communications skills. Organizers will have the opportunity to learn about progressive politics from an experienced campaign staff. The campaign is headquartered in Southern Westchester.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain contact with voters, including canvassing and phone banking
• Build and manage a team of volunteers
• Attend field events and increase candidate visibility
• Use Votebuilder to manage voter and volunteer information

QUALIFICATIONS

• Commitment to progressive values
• Strong interpersonal communications skills
• Prior experience as a volunteer or paid field organizer preferred, but not required
• Access to a smartphone, and laptop strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license and access to a car preferred
• Spanish language skills a plus
