COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR – Midwest moderate Democrat seeks a communications professional with responsibilities for planning and executing a traditional media and social media strategy, as well as communications outreach to issue/policy stakeholder groups. Candidates with political or policy related communications experience preferred. Excellent writing skills and knowledge of political/policy landscape are essential. Responsibilities include outreach to reporters, prepping and briefing the Member, drafting press releases and advisories, op-eds, and talking points, as well as maintaining an active social media profile. Knowledge or ability to learn to maintain official website, email list, video editing, photography, and other tech skills a must.
