The Lydia Edwards for Boston City Council campaign is seeking to hire an energetic, driven, and hardworking Campaign Manager, starting in March 2019. In her first year as Boston City Councilor, Lydia Edwards has proven herself to be an advocate for East Boston, Charlestown, and North End residents on issues ranging from public safety and equitable economic development to education, transportation, and more. In her first re-elect, Lydia Edwards is committed to running an ambitious campaign focused on person-to-person voter contact to build strong, grassroots support for 2019.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with consultants and campaign team to execute campaign strategy

  • Leading and managing campaign staff and volunteers  to meet weekly voter contact and signature drive goals

  • Managing candidate’s campaign schedule and staffing at campaign events

  • Recruiting, managing, and training staff, volunteers, and fellows

  • Drafting and executing campaign communications

  • Launching voter contact events, preparing voter contact materials, and managing data

  • Coordinating campaign events  such as house parties, phone banks, signature drives, and canvass events

  • Political and stakeholder outreach


Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and delegation skills

  • Demonstrated success in managing a team

  • Detail oriented and highly organized

  • Strong multi-tasking skills

  • Goal-oriented

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Willingness to work campaign hours

  • Campaign/issue organizing experience strongly preferred

  • Bilingual is a plus
