Research Associate on Southern Senate Race

Jaime Harrison is running for Senate in South Carolina to bring character and values back to the U.S. Senate. Jaime Harrison for Senate is hiring a research associate to join the team in Columbia, South Carolina. The research associate will work closely with the Deputy Research director to take on in-depth, long-term research projects utilizing primary source materials. 

*Responsibilities* 

• Produce original research memos 
  
• Gather information and summarize key points from a variety of sources, including Nexis and major news outlets, government agencies, campaign finance reports, corporate filings, legal records and other sources 
  
• Daily media monitoring 
  
• Manage interns 
  

*Minimum Qualifications* 

• 1-2 years experience in political research, campaign experience preferred 
  
• Understanding of politics and political campaigns 
  
• Familiar with public records including Nexis and FEC 
  
• A strong eye for detail and ability to synthesize primary source documents 
  
• Creative thinking, ability to take direction, ask questions and quickly learn new tasks and databases
