Sierra Club's Colorado Chapter and Beyond Coal Campaign are hiring a Coal Free Organizer to build the Colorado Front Range climate movement and mobilize communities to move off of coal by 2030! We’re looking for someone with experience working with grassroots organizing and community alliances to help build local people power and influence decision-makers.

The Coal Free Organizer is responsible for recruiting, engaging, training and motivating large numbers of new people on Colorado's Front Range to build a clean energy movement and take action towards the Beyond Coal Campaign’s goals, with a focus on supporting communities served by Xcel Energy and Colorado Springs Utilities. This person identifies and develops volunteers to take on the role of team leaders and build grassroots power and networks within communities. The Coal Free Organizer is responsible for creating and implementing strategies that help to carry out organizational and issue visibility in national, regional, and local media. The organizer will also seek out opportunities to advance the Sierra Club’s commitment to building a more equitable, just, and inclusive community through new partnerships and engagement strategies.
