Field Organizer

 

Position: Western Washington congressional campaign is seeking full time Field Organizers to build a grassroots voter contact effort to re-elect a Member of Congress. Organizers will be in charge of recruiting, managing and coordinating volunteers as well as performing direct voter contact.

 

Start Date/End Date: Early June- November 15

 

Location: South Puget Sound Region (Washington State)

 

Responsibilities include:

• ·      Representing the campaign in the community
  
• ·      Working with the field director to implement voter contact efforts and events in their region
  
• ·      Building a long-term volunteer infrastructure in their assigned area
  
• ·      Collaborating and managing volunteer leadership to successfully plan events such as canvasses, phone banks, and voter registration drives
  
• ·      Managing, training and motivating volunteers
  

 

Qualifications:

• ·      Previous experience on Democratic campaigns encouraged
  
• ·      Strong organizational skills
  
• ·      Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  
• ·      Dedication to empowering volunteers and a belief in moving progressive causes forward
  
• ·      Goal orientated and willing to hold oneself accountable as a member of a team
  
• ·      Excellent personal, verbal and written communication skills
  
• ·      Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends, on a regular basis
•      Acces to transportation 

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Healthcare benefits available.
