About This Role

BerlinRosen is seeking an Account Supervisor on our Issue Advocacy team to help clients meet a wide range of campaign and communications goals in a changing media environment.

This position provides candidates with a unique opportunity to join a talented and growing team that works with major national progressive organizations, foundations and academic institutions on some of the most high-profile issues of our time. We help our clients advocate for women’s reproductive rights, immigration reform, the environment, healthcare, juvenile and criminal justice reform, and much more.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Building, implementing, and communicating strategy and campaign planning for multiple client accounts
  • Engaging with key reporters
  • Writing and editing persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos, and communications plans
  • Collaborating and overseeing teams of 3-4 colleagues

 

Ideal professional backgrounds should include:

  • 4-6 years minimum experience in media relations, journalism, or a related field preferred
  • Strong news sense and knowledge of the media
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
  • Familiarity with social media
  • Familiarity with and interest in local, state, and national politics and a commitment and passion for progressive politics
