POSITION TITLE: Political Advertising Intern

LOCATION: Chicago, IL

 

Political Advertising Internship with up and coming Chicago based Political Consulting Firm

 

The sales outreach intern will gain conduct political research and provide lead generation for the Political Outreach Team

 

Political Advertising Intern duties will include:

·         Providing general administrative support to the team

·         Tracking and analyzing movement in the political world

·         Assisting in research and preparation of prospect database

·         Sending initial correspondence and follow-up to potential leads

 

Qualifications:

·         Strong research and database management skills

·         Efficient and comfortable with computers, skilled in use of social media platforms

·         Proficiency in MS Office and Google Docs

·         An interest in Illinois and federal politics

·         Previous sales/marketing/advertising experience a plus

·         Pursuit a political science degree preferred

 

Outcomes:

·         Intern will get an inside look at the political campaign universe

·         Intern will gain a deeper understanding of Illinois and federal politics

·         Intern will gain experience using research methods

·         Interns will expand their personal and professional network

 

Other:

·         Internships are unpaid, but opportunity for school credit is available

·         Based on performance, internship could grow into a paid position

·         Intern must be based out of the greater Chicagoland area
