Jessica Morse is running in California’s 4th Congressional District (the Sacramento suburbs, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite). A fifth generation Northern Californian, Jessica Morse worked for 10 years as a national security advisor to the military here and in Iraq and wants to bring public service back to politics to protect our land, healthcare, and local businesses. Jessica is the California Democratic Party endorsed candidate and has outraised the Republican incumbent three quarters in a row. 

Position Description

Jessica Morse for Congress campaign is seeking highly motivated candidates for the role of Field Director, to assist in running a comprehensive field campaign leading up to the November election. The Field Director will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the field team, including all professional staff, fellows, local and remote volunteers. Our campaign will turn out targeted voters, while also designing and implementing a substantial persuasion program. 

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the campaign leadership and other stakeholders to design and implement a district-wide direct voter contact program

• Manage and train a diverse staff of experienced campaign professionals to ensure the successful execution of the program

• Work with staff in individual and group settings, with an eye toward developing leaders throughout the summer and fall

• Ensure organization-wide accountability by helping to develop and implement detailed reporting protocols and regular qualitative reports to campaign leadership and stakeholders

• Other duties as assigned

• Proven ability to motivate and manage a diverse group of staff and volunteers
  

• Strong planning skills
  

• Excellent verbal and analytical skills – the ability to speak persuasively in a

  charged atmosphere

• A strong commitment to Democratic ideals and issues
  

• Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and NGP/VAN

• The ideal candidate will have 2 or more cycles of campaign experience

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
