Deputy Field Director


Headquartered in New York City, North Shore Strategies has empowered Democratic and progressive campaigns across the Northeast. Our firm specializes in direct contact consulting services to a wide array of campaigns and causes. For everyone and everything from local City Council members to Congressional candidates, to grassroots startups and specialty causes, we use our combined experience and knowledge base to deliver a tailored and unique product that best serves each client’s goals and needs.


Deputy Field Directors at North Shore will work closely with firm leadership to design, implement, and execute direct contact programs for clients across the New York Metropolitan area, and will assist with implementing the campaigns short and long term goal. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, knowledgeable about different aspects of the political process, and work well in an extremely fast-paced environment.  


This is NOT an entry-level position.


Duties:

  • Implement  Field Plan collaboratively with us for your campaign

  • Manage campaign staff  and provide support, mentorship, and training to ensure progress toward program goals.

  • Leverage innovative voter contact tools  and integrate them into the field plan.

  • Work with Field Director to implement petitioning plan 

  • Recruit Volunteers and build a robust field operation in a short period of time


Requirements:

  • Candidates will preferably have at least two cycles of election field organizing experience with one cycle of field management experience

  • Organized multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced environment.  One cycle prior campaign experience in a managerial role strongly favored.

  • Hands-on management style and a desire to lead your team to victory!

  • Be available to work in person, or remotely

  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills

  • Proficient in office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Apps for Work (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive).

  • Knowledge of common direct contact database software like Votebuilder

  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Current New York State Driver's License preferred.

  • Authorized to work in the US, and ability to sign non-disclosure agreements.

  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the New York Metropolitan area (New York City, or Westchester. Rockland, Nassau, or Suffolk counties).
