Physicians' Union Campaign Communications Coordinator

The Committee of Interns and Residents, the largest resident physicians' union in the country, is looking for a Campaign Communications Coordinator to drive communications strategies to win organizing campaigns in healthcare systems across the country. The Campaign Communications Coordinator works closely with the organizing team on messaging, media strategy, and developing materials to tell our members’ stories. This position can be based in New York City, the Bay Area or Los Angeles, California. Travel will be required for this position.

Job Description:
CIR is committed to growing and strengthening our organization through
strategic campaigns. To accomplish this, we need a highly driven, experienced
and committed Campaign Communications Coordinator who has experience supporting
organizing or contract campaigns. The Campaign
Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing
communications plans that grow the union and support CIR’s organizing,
bargaining and political programs, in coordination with our Quality Improvement
and policy department.

CIR is looking for candidates who have:
· Campaign experience with labor or community organizations
· Strong skills in writing, editing and experience with photography and videography
· Understanding of strategic corporate campaigns
· Experience with social media, web production and graphic design preferred
· Strong communication, organizational and project management skills
· Healthcare experience preferred
· Travel required
· Willingness to work variable and long hours
