Field Director/Campaign Manager: Baltimore, Maryland – State Legislative Race

Progressive candidate in primary race for the House of Delegates in Maryland seeks a goal-oriented, energetic, and self-motivated person to manage day-to-day operations, oversee the voter contact plan and support scheduling, volunteer management and event planning. We are looking for a candidate with at least one campaign’s worth of field experience at the state or federal level who is looking to move into a leadership role. The candidate is a primary care doctor with over a decade of experience in community health.

 

Responsibilities

·      Implement the campaign plan with direct responsibility for the campaign’s field plan

·      Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to participate in grassroots voter contact activities

·      Manage volunteer phone bank and canvass programs

·      Collect, organize and enter all voter contact data on a daily basis

·      Regular communication with campaign leadership and submission of timely voter contact reports

·      Develop and nurture relationships with key community leaders, neighborhood associations, opinion leaders, allied organizations and coalitions to build our base of support in the district

 

 

Qualifications:

·      Experience with at least one campaign

·      Goal oriented, self-motivated, and energetic

·      Ability to prioritize responsibilities, problem-solve independently, and take creative approaches to reaching goals

·      Strong communication and organization skills

·      Ability to effectively manage a team

·      Familiarity with Baltimore City and Maryland politics a plus

·      Valid Driver’s License

·      Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Dropbox and VAN

·      Access to a personal laptop
