Organize Florida is a progressive, community-based organization engaged in and committed to building power to effect change in times of injustice, maintain and protect our existing rights in the state of Florida whenever and wherever injustices are being committed or civil rights are being infringed upon.

The Organize Florida Education Fund is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that both trains and develops leaders and organizes families in low-to moderate-income communities in Florida. Our vision is for these communities to become critically engaged in the political system in order to create a more just and equitable society.


Opportunity

Organize Florida and Organize Florida Education Fund seek a highly motivated, talented, and dynamic individual to serve as the Quality Control Coordinator, C3 & C4 Programs. The Quality Control Coordinator’s main role is to provide oversite of canvass operations for assigned region. This position is integral to maximizing the voter registration programs number of applicants getting on the rolls and being able to vote as well as involving the large community of new registries in the local social justice movement as related to an upcoming election.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Reviews voter registration documents (Batch Sheets, Voter Registration forms, and other accompanying documents) for, legibility, accuracy and completion, including:
    • Check Boxes
    • Date of Birth
    • Florida Driver’s License or last 4 of Social Security numbers
    • First & Last name
    • Full Address
    • Telephone number
    • Signature
    • Date
    • Other items as assigned
  • Scan all relevant documents;
  • Redact required fields;
  • Ensure scanned documents are uploaded into BLOCKS within 24 hours of collection;
  • Keep logs on any inaccuracies and flag problems as they arise and communicate with Field Director and/or Canvass Manager;
  • Follow up with phone calls to voters to verify accuracy;
  • Communicate with Field Director or other Canvass management staff of issues identified through quality control;
  • Participate in weekly calls with:
    • State Voices
    • SWAG
    • 360
    • Others as needed
  • Create Deliveries in BLOCKS and for the SOE;
  • Take responsibility for the filing system for forms and other documents.

Key Qualifications

  • Commitment and passion for social, racial and gender justice;
  • Understanding of issues facing low income and minority communities;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data or technology role;
  • Self-motivated - proven ability to work independently;
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience working with a computer;
  • Ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines;
  • Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions;
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion.
