Seeking CAMPAIGN MANAGER Detroit, MI

A Metro-Detroit based congressional campaign is seeking a Campaign Manager to start ASAP.

 Management duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing  and hiring campaign staff

• Managing and formulating a long-term campaign budget in consultation with other campaign stakeholders

• Helping with tasks related to fundraising

• Developing and implementing a campaign plan

• Helping maintain relationships and communications with various constituency groups and political leaders

• Managing the day-day operation of the campaign

• Help vet and hire vendors

• Help maintain the candidate's morale and schedule

• Helping develop and refine the campaign’s voter targeting and field strategy

I am looking for the following in an applicant:

 

• At least 2 cycles of campaign experience

High-level writing and speaking ability

Experience in multiple facets of a campaign

Excellent organizational and managerial skills

Ability to work long and weekend hours

The ability to relocate to Michigan for the remainder of the campaign cycle

A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle and a laptop

Experience with Excel, as well as standard Democratic software tools, such as NGP and Votebuilder

Preferred candidates will have:

• Experience working districts with Urban and surrounding suburban/metropolitan areas

• Ties to Michigan politics are not required but will help
