Statewide Colorado ballot measure seeking Digital Director

Colorado Priorities is a statewide campaign supporting a ballot initiative on the November 2016 ballot. The ballot initiative will allow Colorado to invest in education, transportation, senior services and mental health services.


Colorado Priorities is seeking a Digital Director who can develop and manage the online communications program. The Digital Director will develop a program that integrates online and offline organizing, delivers audience-specific creative content, utilizes the existing reach of partner organizations and supports campaign-wide communications and organizing strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the email program, with a focus on fundraising and volunteer organizing, including calendar, drafting, layout, segmentation, delivery and analysis.
  • Develop social media tactics, content and audiences to create an active online community
  • Work with partner organizations to coordinate online activity and messaging
  • Maintain and update the campaign website, oversee the development of microsites 
  • Collaborate with outside consultants on advertising strategy, targeting and placement
  • Work with other department staff to identify and support new tactics

Skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic graphic design skills, photography or videography experience a plus.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required
  • Experience with relevant platforms, such as WordPress, NGPVAN, EveryAction, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast paced environment
  • Some political, non-profit or campaign experience is preferred, but not necessary.
