Dear Friend, It’s getting harder to keep up with the horrors. This week, more stories emerged of innocent people being kidnapped and disappeared under Trump’s increasingly authoritarian regime. Reports of detention sites expanding—modern-day concentration camps—make clear just how far this administration is willing to go to impose cruelty and control. Meanwhile, abroad, the devastation in Gaza continues. Leading human rights groups, including B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights, are calling the Israeli military campaign a genocide. Support frontline aid efforts like the Gaza Aid Collective, if you can. This project is organized by one of our community members, Danielle Levi and we’re happy to lift her lifesaving work there. And now, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting—a critical source of fact-based journalism and educational programming—is being shut down. While Trump fantasizes about ballrooms, he’s dismantling the democratic infrastructure that informs and empowers the public. But even as this regime builds fear, we build power. Huge congratulations to Ashley Williams for launching Mind the Movement, a new platform focused on campaign staff mental health. Please donate here to support her bold and urgent work.
