Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is the nation’s

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) seeks a dynamic
and effective Art Director. Reporting to the Senior Director of Creative, they
will work within a rapid response setting to guide electoral design, video, commercial
and ad placements for the 2018 election cycle. The majority of this role is to
review of video and print products, and directing graphic design work under
brand and election guidelines. This role would be for 20 hours per week, these
hours are flexible yet are considered “on-call” for rapid response needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and respond with art direction
notes on election materials to make sure they adhere to Planned Parenthood
Action Fund brand and electoral brand guidelines.
- Develop content and video
recommendations to internal clients and external vendors to meet content and
creative goals.
- Direction of high level, on-brand
videos and graphic design across our election materials.
- Work with internal creative team and
with external freelancers/agencies to ensure brand consistency, and effective
design.
REQUIREMENTS / TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- 5 years experience in design / video
direction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or
relevant field.
- Passion about design; possesses a
strong creative portfolio, with evidence of a sharp eye, strong typographic and
conceptual tools and an eye for detail.
- Able to step in and direct design
execution beyond concept phase; specific to publications, ads, etc. ensuring
consistency across a range of campaigns and products.
- Agency experience preferred; able to
lead and demonstrate pioneering creative design tied to strategic business
results.
- Experience working on a campaign or
electoral program; track record in print design, video and art direction.
- Experience working in/or for a
non-profit federated model a plus.
- High-level proficiency in design
programs of Adobe Creative Suite required.
