314 Action Seeks Finance Directors for Congressional Campaigns Nationwide

314 Action is a grassroots community of over 5 million people working to elect scientists who will use science and facts to address some of our most pressing issues like climate change and health care.
In 2020, we helped flip U.S. Senate seats in Arizona and Colorado by drafting Capt. Mark Kelly and former Gov. John Hickenlooper to successfully run for office. After raising more than $22 million in grassroots donations, 314 Action helped elect nearly 20 scientists at the federal level and over 100 scientists at the state and local levels. Of these scientists, 57% were women, 23% were candidates of color, and 24% were first-time candidates for public office.
314 Action and its mission to elect scientists at all levels of government have been featured in pieces by numerous news outlets, including NBC News, CNN, Bloomberg, Newsweek, The Hill, and Huffington Post.
We will leverage our grassroots network of nearly 1.5 million scientists and STEM advocates on behalf of our campaigns while providing strategic and other support. 314 Action is currently seeking experienced Finance Directors willing to work with great candidates all across the country.
Duties
· Developing and implementing a finance plan with quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals
· Developing, implementing, and managing a high dollar call-time program including prospecting potential donors and pledge follow up
· Planning and executing low and high dollar events
· Drafting campaign solicitations including emails, direct mail solicitations and thank you letters
· Assisting with compliance
· Candidate staffing
· Managing staff and interns as the campaign grows
Qualifications
· Candidates should have at least one cycle of finance experience on a Congressional or similar level campaign
· Knowledge of NGP, MS Excel, and MS Word required
· Candidates should have a car
· Be willing to work long/irregular hours including nights and weekends
Salaries are commensurate with experience and generally range from $4000-$6000 per month.
