We are seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Field Organizer. Field Organizers serve an important role on the front lines of today’s progressive fights and provide vital experience for anyone seeking a career in politics. Field Organizers will be responsible for direct voter contact and the day-to-day recruitment, training and management of volunteers engaging directly with voters.

Location: Washington, DC

Compensation: $875/week

Timeline: July 15, 2020 - November 15, 2020

Reports To: Field Director

 

Responsibilities:

      Recruit, train, and manage volunteers on direct voter engagement including canvass, phone and text banking

      Ensure all volunteer shifts are launched and completed in a timely, orderly fashion

      Provide complete and accurate daily reports in support of voter contact goals

      Lead outreach efforts for community and civic events in assigned region

      Meet personal daily and weekly voter contact goals

      Support aggressive Get Out The Vote efforts including coordinating volunteer precinct captains in assigned region

      Support volunteers through one-on-one coaching, providing resources, technical support, and contributing to a positive and welcoming culture

      Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

      A dedication to racial and economic justice, progressive values and deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

      Strong communication and organizational skills

      No campaign experience required, however one or more campaign cycles preferred

      Ability to learn new systems

      Ability to work irregular, long hours, including nights and weekends

      A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation preferred
