The Ohio Democratic Party is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to fill the role of Distributed Organizing Director for the Campaign for Ohio in 2018.  The Democratic Coordinated Campaign will work with all Democratic Candidates on the ballot in 2018 to reelect Senator Sherrod Brown, and take back Ohio’s Executive Offices. 

 

The Distributed Organizing Director will work closely with Field and Coordinated directors to target potential groups for digital engagement in and out of state.  The Distributed Director will play a strategic role in the use of SMS, peer-to-peer email, online phone banking, distributed canvassing tools and digital volunteer engagement.

 

Reports to: Coordinated Campaign Director

 

Responsibilities:

·         Develop and implement a statewide Distribute Organizing Program

·         Work with coordinated director to develop distributed volunteer management program

·         Hire and manage a team of highly motivated, experienced organizers

·         Manage strategic use of P2P SMS, Email and Social media use

·         Work with stakeholders to push candidate and state party digital content

 

Qualifications:

·         At least two cycles of issue or electoral organizing and one cycle in management preferred  

• Experience implementing field program including: setting and enforcing goals, developing trainings, and volunteer management 
• Ability to work collaboratively with partner organizations, complete projects under tight deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude
• Working knowledge of voter persuasion and identification programs, and Get Out the Vote
• Experience organizing in partnership with communities of color
