Communications staffer for competitive congressional campaign (Westchester and Rockland Counties)

A Democratic congressional campaign is looking for a digital director, press secretary or communications director to be a key member of the campaign team. We're also open to a more junior social media/press coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have campaign and press experience, love social media and be passionate about electing strong Democrats to Congress.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Implement strategic communications plans including earned and social media

• Serve as liaison with the media. Proactively pitch stories and respond to inquiries

• Write and edit media advisories, press releases, statements, op-eds, speeches, and other communications

• Monitor, track and share news media daily

• Prepare the Candidate for interviews and public speaking

• Handle special projects
