Grassroots Campaigns is now hiring a National Recruitment Director to work out of our central office in Boston, MA.
Grassroots Campaigns uses face-to-face outreach to
rally average Americans behind issues like civil liberties, environmental
protection, LGBT equality, poverty and social justice. Our firm partners with
other political organizations to run their membership, fundraising and field
organizing campaigns. From our early work with the DNC and MoveOn, to
our more recent partnerships with the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center and
Planned Parenthood, Grassroots Campaigns has become a prominent force for the
progressive movement.
Our firm has opportunities to expand into new states and new progressive
campaigns. The National Recruitment Director ensures that we have the
leadership staff needed to run more campaigns in new locations
nationwide. Through developing and implementing the strategy and approach
to recruiting new staff, the National Recruitment Director has the ability to
exponentially increase the impact that we can have on local and national
politics. Depending on the time of year, the Recruitment Director will manage
3-25 staff, who will work both remotely and locally, to meet weekly,
monthly and yearly growth goals. The National Recruitment Director will
allow us to meet our organizational goals of 50+ field offices. He or she will
join our Senior Leadership team and report to our Managing Director.
Qualifications: Three or more years management experience preferably in a campaign or project management context. Strong organizational and analytical skills. The National Recruitment Director needs to be strongly motivated to meet big goals and engage the entire staff to focus on organizational expansion.
Responsibilities:
· Meet organizational goals by hiring leadership staff for existing and expansion offices.
· Monitor, measure and report on recruitment plans and achievements within agreed formats and time periods.
· Manage recruiting expenditures with an eye towards maximizing resources.
· Work with all levels of management to meet recruiting process needs.
· Create, maintain and foster relationships with local colleges and universities.
· Frequently attend meetings with managers to review recruiting plans and goals.
· Build recruiting messages on various websites and social media outlets to allow capture of diverse culture and ethnicity.
· Conduct interviews and evaluate potential candidates in person and over the telephone.
· Maintain inventory of recruiting materials at each office location; help develop recruiting visuals and materials in conjunction with other departments.
· Coordinate career seminars, career fair involvement, and other recruiting based activities and events.
· Ensure there are strong systems for tracking recruiting data and statistics.
