SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Donor and Events Manager is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Managing
Director. The position is based in Denver, CO. This position is responsible for implementing and leading effective fundraising strategies to
support program growth for COLOR and the COLOR Action Fund by:
● Work closely with the Executive Director and Boards of Directors (COLOR and COLOR Action Fund) to plan and execute all activities related to revenues from individuals, donor advised funds, small donor committee, giving circles and community organizations.
● Support institutionalizing a culture of philanthropy within COLOR.
● Use data-driven approach to inform donor management and cultivation strategies.
● Work with key staff on coordinating fundraising drives: solicitation and thank-you phone banks supported by social/digital/traditional media tactics.
● Monitor progress against benchmarks, evaluate success, and inform strategy accordingly.
● Help generate event revenue including, but not limited to: sponsorships, host committees, matching donations and in-kind contributions.
● Support key staff in ensuring successful planning and execution of COLOR’s annual signature event as well as other fundraisers and house parties.
● Work with outside partners on beneficiary events when opportunities arise (e.g., collections at faith-based organizations, theatre/comedy shows, artisan market and other festivals) and work with team members to satisfy partnership requirements (e.g., presentations, tabling, swag, etc.)
● Work with the Director Team, event planning committee, and key staff on event sponsorship outreach, in-kind donations, invitation lists, and guest attendance.
● Oversee theme development, and the coordination of program, vendor relations, decor, entertainment, food, drawings, silent auction, live asks, security, ticketing/registration platforms, and other event logistics.
● Monitor progress against benchmarks, evaluate success, and inform strategy accordingly.
● Manage internal systems related to giving history and contact information for individual donors and special events (i.e. donor database)
● Oversee online profile with Guidestar.org and manage the maintenance of all online giving platforms (i.e. COGives.org).
● Manage online and offline donor correspondence and marketing collateral.
● Maintain partnership with Community Shares of Colorado, and ensure visibility of employee giving.
● Serve on or attend committee/board meetings as needed.
● Participate in organization-wide resiliency work as well as staff-board retreats.
● Other duties as assigned.

Compensation
Salary range is $48,000 - $50,000 with a competitive benefits package.
