Field Director

Highly competitive Suffolk County Democratic Race in Boston, Massachusetts seeking an experienced grassroots professional with field and management experience to become the campaign Field Director.


The Field Director is responsible for developing and implementing the grassroots activity to engage voters and volunteers in this county-wide race throughout the Summer/Fall (2-4 months).


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

·        Participating in the campaign planning process and implementation

·        Recruit, train, manage and develop field staff

·        Track and analyze performance, adjusting plans and strategies when necessary

·        Managing day-to-day field operations, timelines, and schedules for field team

·        Supervision of Deputy Field Directors, Canvas Teams, and Volunteers

·        Perform other duties as directed by the Campaign Manager and the Candidate


The Field Director will report to the Campaign Manager.


Ideal candidates will:

·        Think politically, strategically, and have the capacity to work independently.

·        Possess a high level of integrity.

·        Be inclusive, transparent, and engaging with constituent groups while providing credibility within the campaign.

·        Fluency in Spanish is a major plus!

·        A history working with political campaigns (especially in Massachusetts and Suffolk County), as well as budget management and field experience are highly desired. 


In order to be considered, candidates must be passionate and willing to work long hours, including some nights and most weekends, as necessary from July 1st to the primary on September 8th with the ultimate goal of continue through to and winning the general election on November 8th.


Compensation will be based on relevant experience and salary history.  Candidates will be considered on a rolling basis.
