LOCAL POLICY COLLECTIVE is a nonpartisan policy and advocacy organization committed to serving local communities with innovative policy solutions and meaningful reform.  Our work seeks to foster economic and social progress at the most fundamental level.  Providing research, outreach and education, we seek to identify and foster sound policies that have positive, long-term impacts on local communities.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Local Policy Collective is hiring outgoing, personable and reliable, temporary canvassers and phonebankers to help execute a large-scale issue campaign in Maryland. Training will be provided.  Perfect for students and those looking for extra income.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Access to a vehicle is preferred. Mileage is reimbursed.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Educate targeted constituencies through door knocking and/or phone calls

·         Consistently meet daily contact and membership goals

·         Be willing and able to problem solve independently and in a team setting

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Must have excellent verbal, communication skills

·         Able to digest information about new issues quickly

·         Must be comfortable and confident in talking to new people

·         Canvass experience is a plus, but not necessary

 

BENEFITS:
Pay $12-14/hour.  Mileage reimbursed.
