Prince William County, Virginia race is seeking highly-motivated canvassers to engage voters leading up to the June 11th Democratic Primary. Join an energetic campaign team to engage diverse communities in Prince William using the latest tools. Opportunities for advancement available. We are conducting interviews on a rolling basis and offer flexible scheduling options. Hiring will occur immediately of up to 10 full-time and part-time canvassers to perform targeted door-to-door canvassing. Application information is provided below. Position: Canvasser
Location: Eastern Prince William Virginia
Schedule and Pay: Hiring immediately, temporary position through Democratic Primary, June 11
Pay: $15 per hour
Hours: 20-40 hours per week, with afternoon and evening shifts available daily, paid biweekly
Responsibilities:
Working independently and as part of a canvassing team, canvassers will:
- Perform targeted door-to-door canvassing
- Communicate effectively with voters
- Remain punctual, inclusive and professional at all times
- Perform regular check-ins with Team Leader and Campaign Manager
- Must be able to work afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends
- Must be willing to travel within the county regularly
Skills needed:
- Strong verbal and problem-solving skills
- Access to reliable transportation (personal car preferred, with valid Driver’s License and Insurance)
- Ability to use personal cell phone to record data in the field
- Political, community or door-to-door experience
