NOW HIRING: Communications Staffer for Presidential Campaign in Iowa

Responsibilities

  • Strategy
    •  Help drive the development of an overall communications strategy of the campaign.
    • Work with both state and national to implement our Iowa message.
    • Work with the State Director to develop and implement a digital communications strategy to boost social media engagement; development of graphics, video and other sharable content.
  • Press
    • Write press releases with clear, clean, concise and above all accurate positions under deadline pressure in a fast-paced atmosphere of a state-wide campaign.
    • Organize and execute press events such as press avails and press conferences in state.
  • Digital
    •  Develop digital content for the candidate’s social media accounts.
    • Manage engagement across numerous social media channels while tracking the growth and engagement of social media platforms.
  • Writing and messaging
    • Drafting and placement of op-eds, letters to the editor and other earned media placements/features in Iowa.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter who shows strong initiative and sets high standards for individual and team performance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; a proven ability to effectively and independently manage projects with many moving parts to produce high-quality results on tight deadlines.
