The Democratic Governors Association (DGA), the campaign committee responsible for electing and supporting Democratic Governors, is seeking a Scheduler/Executive Assistant. This individual will provide support to the DGA’s Executive Director while also assisting across the entire organization.
Primary Responsibilities
• Manage the schedule and travel logistics of the Executive Director;
• Coordinate meetings with staff, donors, and allied organizations;
• Assist with DGA events and fundraisers;
• Assist with office management duties and other logistical tasks;
• Correspond quickly and accurately with key staff of candidates and Governors;
• Help with other special projects, assignments, and tasks as assigned by the Executive Director, and/or other senior DGA staff.
Minimum Qualifications
• One election cycle of work experience supporting the logistics of key principal(s);
• Extremely strong attention to detail;
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc;
• Strong verbal and written intra-office communication skills;
• Ability to work efficiently and autonomously;
• Must be comfortable with long, irregular hours during peak seasons;
• Excellent punctuality and attendance;
• Consistent professionalism working with strategic partners, donors, candidates, and Governors;
• Strong proficiency using the Internet as a research tool;
• Strong commitment to Democratic principles;
• Strong interest in current events and national/state/local campaigns, and politics.
The position is based in downtown Washington, DC and comes with employer-paid health care benefits. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Expected start date negotiable.
