Job Summary:


Julián for the Future (the Campaign) is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven and qualified individual to serve as Operations Director. The Operations Director will work with the Chief Operating Officer to manage critical campaign systems such as payroll, benefits, supply chain, and budget management. This position is based in San Antonio and is eligible for comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the budget in coordination with campaign leadership and department directors
  • Managing hiring and onboarding processes
  • Develop processes to help the campaign open and manage field offices
  • Oversee HR systems such as benefits administration and reimbursements
  • Work with outside counsel to manage legal processes and compliance

The Operations Director must be a self-starter with at least 5 years of professional experience and one cycle of campaign field experience. The successful candidate will have experience with project management, writing workplace policies, and budget management. Previous experience managing hiring systems and executing payroll is strongly preferred. The Operations Director must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to keep information confidential, an instinct for creative problem-solving, and a good humored and collegial approach to working with other staff.
