The DCCC is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC’s Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. Position Summary:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is hiring a Digital Strategist for the Committee’s Independent Expenditure Unit (IE). The Strategist will support the Digital Analytics Manager with reporting to ensure campaigns are meeting their KPIs and delivering in full. Additionally, they will produce social listening and competitive intelligence reporting to reveal key insights and turn data into results. Reports to Digital Analytics Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Become an expert in turning social listening and competitive intelligence analytics into insights for internal/external stakeholders.
- Monitor social and web news outlets through Brand Intelligence for Congressional House districts.
- Track social media conversations and deliver insightful reports.
- Deliver both regular internal reports (e.g. weekly Brand Intelligence analysis) and ad hoc research requests (e.g. Audience Segment Analysis).
- Developing a thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and market dynamics.
- Monitor share of voice and benchmark key metrics against competitors to inform strategies, uncover opportunities, and detect risks.
- Ensure campaign performance reports have the metrics needed to assess the overall health of a digital program.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in digital advertising.
- BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Possess a positive, can-do attitude
- Show attention to detail - especially formatting
- Be quick and efficient
- Excellent technology skills with strong PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and G Suite applications. Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
- Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in media monitoring, including hands-on work with tools such as Mention, Brandwatch, Google Alerts, or similar online search query tools highly valued.
Salary and Benefits: Annual compensation for this position is $55,000.
