NYC - Constituent Services/Community Liaision & Intern

A New York elected official seeks a full-time constituent services liaison and a summer intern to join a devoted, creative and energetic team. The ideal candidates must be well organized, driven, highly motivated and enthusiastic about working closely with various government agencies to properly address issues on behalf of the community and constituents.

Responsibilities include:

Addressing constituent concerns by reaching out to the appropriate agency. 
Ensuring all constituent issues are addressed in a timely fashion. 
Developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, community boards, non-profit organizations etc. 
Monitoring and tracking casework using the relevant database. 
Identifying community issues and trending concerns that may require legislative action. 
Be available to attend community events on weeknights and occasional weekends.

Demonstrated interest in government service through prior work, volunteering and/or education strongly preferred.
