Freedman Consulting, LLC, is hiring a Senior Associate to provide strategic and policy planning, research, and writing for firm clients focused on innovations and impact for the greater social good.


Freedman Consulting, LLC, offers strategic consulting services to foundations, nonprofit organizations, and public interest coalitions, partnering with many of the leading philanthropic funders in the country. Examples of our work include: strategic planning and issue landscaping for major foundations, campaign advising and coordination for public interest coalitions, and policy development in high-profile advocacy and political campaigns.


The position entails several client responsibilities, including:

  • Leading the development of actionable reports, memos, and other client deliverables
  • Creating work plans and helping scope client projects
  • Directing and managing research tasks
  • Offering strategic thinking and brainstorming in collaborative team settings to respond to client challenges
  • Helping to manage coalitions and develop engagement strategies
  • Providing strategic communications and messaging guidance
  • Support, preparation, and engagement in client meetings and presentations

Requirements: At least 3-5 years of previous consulting, legislative/policy, philanthropic, public interest and/or research-related experience is required. Applicants must possess excellent writing and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think through and work on complex issues critically and strategically. Salary and benefits are competitive and based on experience.
