Campaign Manager for Kansas State Rep. race

A Kansas State House race in Johnson County is seeking a campaign manager.

This is a good opportunity for applicants who are interested in starting a career in professional politics, or applicants who have some experience and are looking to gain management experience.

You will receive thorough training and learn how to win elections from experienced campaign professionals. Managers will learn about and gain experience in all aspects of political campaigns. Longer-term jobs may be available after the 2018 cycle for successful managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

- strong work ethic and commitment to getting the work done and finishing the job

- willingness to work long hours, nights and weekends

- enthusiasm for electing Democrats and desire to train and lead field teams

- previous campaign experience helpful but not required

RESPONSIBILITIES

- staff candidate at events

- recruit, train and lead volunteers in direct voter contact

- lead part-time paid field staff and interns in same

- assist with fundraising

- assist with management of social media outreach

- assist with development and execution of paid communications programs

- maintain candidate's schedule

- motivate and lead candidate and staff to consistently deliver results that meet or exceed expectations

Salaries are commensurate with experience.
