Title: Field Organizer
Reports to: Project Manager
Job Description
Leadership MKE PAC seeks Field Organizers to execute a local door knocking and early vote campaign in numerous Milwaukee County Board races this Spring. Starting in February, 2018 and concluding with the Spring general election in April, Field Organizers will be responsible for running a robust voter persuasion and get-out-the-vote campaign to help bring much-needed change to Milwaukee County.
About Leadership MKE PAC
Leadership MKE PAC is a new, independent expenditure organization seeking to bring change to local government in Milwaukee County starting with the 2018 Spring elections. Leadership MKE PAC will support dynamic local candidates who focus on problem solving and who will help move Milwaukee County forward. Our mission is to support candidates who support making the critical investments in parks, infrastructure, and public safety to improve the quality of life for all Milwaukee County residents.
Major Responsibilities
· Door-to-door canvassing
· Recruiting and organizing volunteers
· Targeting and persuading spring voters to vote for identified candidates in local elections
· Execute an innovative vote-by-mail program, including follow up with voters and local municipal clerks
Qualifications
· Applicants must be able to walk for up to six hours per day
· Personable, outgoing, and friendly
· Comfortable talking to voters of diverse backgrounds
· Able to think quickly on their feet
· Pay close attention to detail
· Previous experience with voter targeting software, including NGP/VAN or Nationbuilder, a plus but not required
· Previous campaign experience not necessary
