The Kathleen Matthews Campaign is seeking full-time Field Organizers for an aggressive field operation to elect the next Representative of Maryland’s 8th District.

With a field of 6 candidates, this race promises to be one of the most exciting and competitive in the country this Primary Season. The short timeframe of the election and the large number of candidates means that a robust field program will be the key to victory.

Responsibilities:

·          Identifying, recruiting, training and supervising volunteers

·      Coordinating and participating in direct voter contact programs to motivate and mobilize voters in key regions

·          Meeting and exceeding voter contact goals set by the Field Director

·          Detailed regular reporting of regional activities and program results

·          Recruiting and managing Deputy Field Organizers, Fellows, and Interns.

Qualifications:

· Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.

· Ability to work independently and in team settings.

· Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.

· Basic computer literacy, database skills, and access to a reliable portable computer.

· Reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

· At least one cycle of campaign experience strongly preferred.

· Knowledge of Votebuilder also strongly preferred.
