Tom Perriello for Governor - Distributed Regional Organizer

Tom Perriello’s campaign for Governor of Virginia is hiring Distributed Regional Organizers to join the team behind his new-generation progressive candidacy.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility is to build capacity and a dedicated group of volunteers outside of the traditional field spectrum. They will recruit, identify, and train groups of volunteers to hold phone banks, canvasses, and other activities to strengthen the campaigns organization. They will hold volunteers accountable to the goals set in the Distributed Plan as well as ensure the integrity of the data collected. Distributed Regional Organizers will report directly to the Special Projects Director. 

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
• At least one election cycle of organizing experience is strongly preferred
• Own a vehicle or other mode of transportation
• Working knowledge of the structure of political campaigns and familiarity with VoteBuilder
• Good sense of humor and a strong interest in and commitment to progressive values
• Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting
