Account Executive to lead our data services team and execute our more complex in-house

Data Services Account Executive The
Data Services Account Executive conducts analyses of very large
datasets and assists in providing strategic recommendations to
progressive client organizations to optimize voter mobilization
techniques and improve fundraising capabilities. The Data Services
Account Executive (DSAE) supports Client Services by providing reports,
campaign lists, and appends that the Catalist Q and M Tools cannot
readily provide. The DSAE is the liaison and project manager for these
tickets between Analytics and the account team, where applicable. This
position reports to the Director of Client Services and works closely
with Product Management.
Responsibilities and Duties- Acts
as an advanced user of all internal and external Catalist tools (JIRA,
sFTP, Q Tool, M Tool), data and products (voter files, Enhanced
Analytics, Catalist models, synthetics and specialty data) for the
purpose of assessing and assisting with Client needs.
- Receives, reviews, updates, and responds to all Data Services requests.
- Gains
an understanding of client needs, political implications and scope by
interacting with Client Services, Product Management, and Analytics
departments as needed. Develops deliverables and recommendations that
leverage Catalist and client specific data.
- Works on Data Services requests based upon prioritization set by Product Management.
- Communicates
regularly with Account Executives to ensure they are advised of project
timelines and status, so they can update the clients together as
appropriate
.
Oversees
all projects assigned from start to finish. Successfully delivers ad
hoc reports, campaign lists, and presentation materials as needed in
response to assigned client services requests on time, accurately, and
in a client-friendly format with actionable insights where applicable.
Escalates issues and concerns to the Director of Client Services and Director of Product Management as needed.- Receives
requests for new business development support directly from marketing
team, creates tickets and appropriate reports and presentation materials
as requested.
- Develops documentation to facilitate future replication of deliverables
.
Works
closely with Product Management to identify common requests that lend
themselves to becoming permanent product enhancements.- Present results, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Attends Client Services staff meetings to report on and discuss open projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years experience with data management and technical applications.
- Experience with political campaigns or progressive organizations is required.
- Ability to be creative and personable and articulate ideas clearly.
- The skills to turn data into actionable, client-friendly insights and recommendations.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and to handle various tasks at once.
- Highly proficient in Excel (large datasets, formulas, graphs, and pivot tables).
- Experience in the following a plus: Terminal, SQL, Tableau, Access, R.
- Formal
education in a technical field such as mathematics, computer science,
market research, economics. Non-technical degree with technical
experience acceptable.
