This position requires at least three or more years of direct marketing account service experience – specifically with robust and complex mail plans, as well as fundraising strategy. The right person for this role must:
- Be extremely detail-oriented and able to proactively juggle multiple deadlines at once
- Love spreadsheets and pivot tables – specifically using Microsoft Excel
- Effectively communicate with multiple departments and stakeholders – both internal and external
- Be comfortable presenting to clients
- Have a strong understanding of direct mail statistics
- Have experience in direct marketing strategy
- Have direct marketing list planning and management experience
- A working knowledge of MySQL is preferred but not required. Bonus points for experience with SQL and a working knowledge of predictive models.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the account team and client to provide strategic insight and recommendations and to execute campaign strategy for all programs by communicating and obtaining client approval for said plan and implementing the same, including:
- Creating detailed instructions for the client’s data team for each campaign;
- Reviewing and understanding campaign and program strategy documents and crafting a targeting strategy based on overarching strategic goals;
- Projecting performance for each campaign at the segment level and preparing, presenting, and securing approval of a memo detailing relevant past performance, campaign projections (and the assumptions behind them), as well as longer-term ramifications on the budget and the program as a whole;
