Seeking Finance Director to join small Democratic consulting firm

The Rural Majority Project is a small boutique consulting firm currently working in upstate & Western New York with Democratic candidates running in red-to-blue districts. We are seeking an experienced and professional Finance Director to develop innovative fundraising programs for multiple candidates in the 2020 cycle and beyond. We currently are working with 3 State Senate candidates, 1 State Assembly candidate, and 1 county judicial candidate.

Responsibilities:
● Manage and execute finance plan which includes event management, call time, small dollar online solicitations
● Manage principal call time and other activities to hit raise targets and deadlines
● Manage donor research and grow new donor networks 
● Supervise work of interns and volunteers as well as campaign treasurers
● Manage follow up on all correspondence and pledges 
● Work closely with compliance volunteers

Qualifications: 
● 2+ cycles of campaign finance experience, previous statewide or congressional campaign finance experience or equivalent
● Must have event planning experience 
● Experience managing volunteers preferred 
● Knowledge of NGP, ActBlue, Aristotle, and/or Excel 
● Must have strong written and communication skills 
● Working knowledge of state campaign and ethics finance law, resident of or experience working in New York state a plus 
● Donor prospecting and research experience preferred 
● Prior experience with targeting contributors and follow up management
● Excellent attention to detail and highly organized 
● Time management skills are a must 
● Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Supporter housing may be available.
