Campaign Finance Assistant

Highly competitive Suffolk County Democratic Race in Boston, Massachusetts seeking a campaign finance assistant to begin immediately.

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining daily fundraising efforts throughout the Summer/Fall (1-3 months).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • Working with the candidate to achieve daily/weekly/monthly fundraising goals
  • Working with the Finance Director to build call sheets and scheduling call time for the candidate 
  • Execution of direct mail and email fundraising efforts
  • Coordination of fundraising parties and events
  • Track and analyze performance, working with Campaign Manager and Finance Director in adjusting plans and strategies when necessary
  • Managing campaign finance reporting
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Finance Director, the Campaign Manager, and/or the Candidate
Ideal candidates will have:
  • College education, preferably in finance or politics
  • Experience with planning and goalsetting
  • The capacity to work independently, but the skills and temperament to guide and motivate others
  • A high level of integrity
  • Fluency in Spanish is a major plus!
The Fundraising Assistant will report to the Finance Director and the Campaign Manager.

In order to be considered, candidates must be passionate and willing to work long hours, including some nights, as necessary from July 18th to the primary on September 8th with the ultimate goal of continue through to and winning the general election on November 8th.

Compensation will be based on relevant experience and salary history.  Candidates will be considered on a rolling basis.
