Finance Director, Progressive Ballot Measure, Denver, Colorado
A progressive ballot measure campaign in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Finance Director through the November 6, 2018 election. The Finance Director will work closely with the Campaign Manager, Principals, consultants, compliance personnel and other senior staff to implement a winning finance plan.
Job Description:
- Implement finance plan which includes call time, major donor meetings and events
- Manage principal’s call time
- Manage finance staff and volunteers
- Coordinate fundraising events including organizing and staffing
- Research and follow leads on new donors
- Manage relationships with current donors and prospects
- Coordinate with supporting groups and their external fundraising efforts
- Coordinate with compliance team to ensure proper record-keeping
Preferred qualifications
- At least one cycle of campaign finance experience
- Experience managing call time
- Experience planning and executing fundraising events
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends, including some potential travel
- Experience with fundraising where there are no contribution limits (issue campaign, non-profit, charity) not required, but preferred
- Strong understanding of, and experience with, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with NGP, VAN (or Everyaction)
- Strong organizational skills
