Flagging & sharing this message and great opportunity from our friend Aaron at Open Labs and partners America Votes and The Movement Cooperative. We thought some of the JTAL community would have some innovative ideas. See details below:
Friends and colleagues,
OpenLabs, in partnership with America Votes and The Movement Cooperative, is excited to announce a $1 million research fund for groups that want to test scalable ideas in electoral politics in 2021. Groups who have under-tested approaches to mobilizing the electorate or netting Democratic votes should apply for funding. The Call for Proposals is here and there will be a webinar to answer questions on April 12th (register here). BIPOC-led organizations are especially encouraged to apply. Further, don't be shy about applying; researchers are standing by to help you craft a solid measurement strategy (at no charge to you). To get started, fill out this initial form to indicate interest by April 16th.
Also, if you're on the funder side of the ecosystem and are interested in potentially expanding the pool of resources by supporting some of these proposals, please reach out.
Please take a moment to think of groups who might take advantage of this fund and forward this email their way. I'm excited to see the ideas this community generates, and I'm happy to answer questions.
